Blocking time is absolutely a must!
Blocking time must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time based. If you do not write down your goals, there isn’t any way to determine if your efforts are effective.
Then keep track of how many hours you actually spend a week on your tasks at hand. 5- 10 hours per week are the minimum to find land within a year.
A good method is to prioritize the tasks A, B and C. A must be done, B it would be good to get it done and C, get it done if time permits. Example.
A. Call 20 brokers regarding potential sites
B. Follow up calls to brokers from last week
C. Hand out 20 Bird Dog cards
Why does blocking time work?
Promotes better mental health (reduce stress and anxiety)
Promotes better task organization
Allows to view workload in advance, and prioritize accordingly to avoid overloading and burnout
Allows you to determine the proper timeline and stay on schedule
Increases focus and productivity
Allows you to get into your flow state and accomplish deep work
To plan for success, you must measure and adapt! If something isn't working, change it.
In the end it is all about using your time effectively and wisely.
